The 1.0x flattener, upon attachment to the Askar 103APO, maintains the telescope's focal length at 6.8 without altering its focal ratio. While the flattener doesn't modify the focal ratio, it effectively corrects field curvature and coma, resulting in flatter field edges and sharper star points.
Featuring a triplet design, the 1.0x flattener supports a 44mm full-frame image circle and has a weight of 0.58kg. With a standard back focus of 55mm from the M48 thread and an M84*1 front thread, it offers reliable specifications.
At the camera end, the flattener comes equipped with two convenient adapter sizes, M540.75 and M480.75, facilitating easy connections. Additionally, it includes a built-in M48*0.75 2-inch filter thread for direct filter installation. The overall CNC machined construction, complemented by threaded metal caps at both ends, prevents dust accumulation when the equipment is not in use.
